Rick Sanghera
Chief Executive Officer, AtaCor Medical
Rick is a serial entrepreneur in the medical device industry with multiple successful exits. He started as an engineer in-house at Guidant (now Boston Scientific). After Guidant, Rick joined the Cameron Health team, and was instrumental in developing the world's first implantable subcutaneous ICD (S-ICD) that didn't require any leads/wires to be attached to the heart.
Following Boston Scientific’s acquisition of Cameron Health, Rick co-founded AtaCor Medical to continue his desire to simplify cardiac device therapies for physicians and patients. AtaCor’s pacing method frees the veins and hearts of pacemaker patients from all foreign hardware.
Rick is the inventor of over 60 patents in the cardiac device space and has co-authored numerous publications. He earned a BSc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington and completed his MBA at Oxford.
